2010 January Update

Hi everyone, things are progressing nicely, have done 2 supercrosses on the new 250, got 2nd and 3rd at the NEC, quite pleased but need the wins to get the championship. The new bike is awesome just need Dad to work his magic on the engine for the outdoor season.

I am getting stronger on the bigger bike and need to push the limits with training over the next few months as the National races are longer, MXY2 are going to be nearly 25 minutes so I need to get my butt in gear.

Had a day over in Dunkirk in the sand and had an awesome time, really enjoyed the training and we made some progress on the bike with suspension and gearing changes.

Hopefully going to be doing some extra riding during half term but it's hard work with exams and school work but it's go to be done.

We have tried to ride every weekend even with the snow at the moment, how cold!!

Got the next 2 supercross races in 2 weeks then straight into some club outdoor races to sharpen up for the first big race of the season at Mallory Park.

Will keep you all posted with results in a few weeks.

The new bike has arrived

Hi everyone.

The 2010 Honda CRF250 has arrived, got it a week ago and rode it Saturday, awesome or what!

Couldn't sleep the night before, so excited about riding, the weather held out ok and did a full day at Apex, spent most of the time tweeking the suspension. Nice job Dad.

Got a couple of weeks getting things dialed in for the Supercross at the NEC at the end of the month, will be racing in the Youth lites class. Also got some great news on a new sponsor, I will racing under the Phoenix Tools Honda banner for 2010 which is fantastic news, this has given me a real boost and things are working out. Currently training as hard as I can inbetween homework, between 2 - 3 nights in the gym and cycling as well.

Will keep you posted.

Just counting down the weeks

Me again, no more racing on the 150 but have had a blast the last few weeks training on my good old trusty practice bike, Dads done an awesome jobs getting it sorted, almost as fast as this years race bike!

Been training at Wildmoor and Apex, as usual the guys there have done an awesome job on the tracks, got a few shots from Apex last weekend from Steve at Scorching Images.

Off to Weston Beach race this coming weekend with my girlfriend Holly to shout on her Dad on a sidecar, nutter!!!! Then it's hopefully only a few weeks till the 250 comes in, then only got about 1 month to get my butt into gear for the supercross at the NEC in the youth lites.

Will get pictures of the new bike as soon as it hits the UK.

Outdoor season update

Hi Luke here.

What a last 3 weeks, Cumbria, Whitby and Swindon. Not had time to be tired!

Had the final round of the British Masters in Whitby, what an awesome track, loved it, won all 4 races and pulled off some massive whips, had already won the Championship at Hawkstone a few weeks before so just enjoyed the weekend and extended my lead so now have the title of British Masters 2009 Champion.

The British Youth Championship has been tough this year and is so competitive, came away from Brampton a bit dissapointed, didn't make the top 6 due to clutch issues and a puncture, well didn't get injured so that was good. Onto Foxhills for the last round, conditions were perfect.

Qualifying was pants! 6th and a little of the pace but i made up for it in the races, had 3rd, 4th, 2nd, 2nd then got another puncture in the last race which dropped me to 4th overall from a possible 2nd overall, bummer! 8th overall in the championship, not bad considering i started the year with a broken collarbone and injured my ankle a month ago.

Well that's my big wheel season done, hopefully onto 250 fourstrokes as soon as Mum and Dad can get a bike sorted. Can't thank all of my sponsors enough this year, has been a good season so far, thanks especially to Spiked for believing in me and it can only get better from here, roll on 2010. Will keep everyone posted on how the 250 fourstroke goes, rode one a few weeks ago and it's awesome.

Racing update

Hi, been a while since i last gave you some news, loads of things have changed. Racing is going well, currently leading the British Masters by a nice margin, Foxhills last weekend was awesome although the weather was a bit wet it didn't cause me too many issues.

The BYMX is going ok, had a few DNF's due to clutch problems but i have scrapped my way up to 6th at the moment.

Really want to make the top 3 by the end of the season.

Got a busy June, BYMX in Cumbria then my first European championship in Holland the following week, then down to Landrake for the masters.

Will keep you up to date and get some photo's up from Holland.

See ya soon

It's good to be back

Wow how good is it to be back on the bike again, it's been just over a month since breaking my collerbone, tried riding at Gunner last week and it was a struggle, felt ok but really painful.

But a week later at Tony Moto and feeling so much better, the bike is awesome, Dad has done some real good work with Jon from JEBS UK, nice one boys.

Managed to see Jim Davis for the first time, as they say on the fast show, " what a bloody nice bloke". Jim was riding really well and good luck for the British.

Rode at Apex today on my practice bike, really enjoyed the track and looking forward to the Masters at Culham in 2 weeks time.

Got to keep the training up, been cycling just about every night for the past 2 weeks to get back to some sort of fitness, it seems to be working.

Will keep you posted.

Liverpool SX Disaster

Hi everyone, things had been going well since racing at Sheffield, spent some time at Merv Ansties track in preparation for Liverpool Supercross, felt confident in the mornings practice and heat and then crashed heavily during the final at night time.
Managed to break my collerbone as I landed off the track on the concrete! Really dissapointed but thats racing, had some laser treatment this week at Brian Simpsons place in Ipswich, really helped and should be looking to start riding again in about 4 weeks.
This shouldn't effect my outdoor preparation too much as i am really feeling confident at the moment, Dad has got the bike back on the rolling road again at the end of this week trying out some new secret parts so everyone else better look out, the new bike is going to be fast!
Got the British Masters in about 7 weeks time then the BYMX 2 weeks after that, will keep everyone up to date as the weeks count down, just can't wait to get back out there.
